Portfolios often hide wiring mess behind renders. We require breadboard photos with annotations—not because neatness wins style points, but because mentors cannot critique ghosts.
Section two explains lighting tips borrowed from community theaters: consistent angles, labeled rails, and a single color temperature so reviewers compare apples to apples.
Section three covers boundaries. We do not accept classified imagery; redact serial numbers when devices belong to employers.
The closing paragraph addresses nerves. It is acceptable to show a failed attempt if the retrospective explains what changed. Polished fiction loses trust faster than messy truth.
